Falls Church Neighborhoods: Glen Forest

May 17, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Located near Bailey’s Crossroads, and just south of Rt 50, sits an enclave of tree lined cul-de-sacs called Glen Forest. Glen Forest, in Fairfax County, was built in the latter half of the 1950s and consists primarily of single family, detached homes in the rambler style that sit on 1/3 acre lots. In the past twelve months, price started at a very reasonable $400,000 range and went up to nearly $500,000. At the time of this writing, there were NO homes for sale in this neighborhood, and just two under contract. You don’t get many opportunities to buy in this neighborhood–in the past year there were just 8 homes available for sale.

The Glen Forest pool was built in 1960, after which the Association was formed. Today, membership has been extended to nearby developments. The Association owns, maintains, and operates a 6.8-acre park complete with swimming pool and tennis court. Long Branch Creek runs the length of the property.
