Falls Church Condos: Idylwood Towers

Idylwood Towers is a condo community comprising two high-rise buildings with nearly 500 units. Sitting on a 22-acre parcel, the community offers ample parking and lots of open space for residents’ enjoyment. Located near the intersection of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Idylwood Road, Idylwood Towers in convenient to major commuting routes, such as I-66 and the Beltway. It’s also about one mile to the West Falls Church metro station.

Idylwood Towers earns a walk score of 65, or “somewhat walkable.” More than a dozen restaurants are within about a mile of the community, including local favorites Haandi and Mark’s Pub. Five grocery stores are within one mile, as are four parks for those that love the outdoors. Community amenities include a swimming pool, fitness centers, tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic and cookout areas, a playground, pool rooms, and community rooms that are available for activities or private parties.

Five floor plans are offered at Idylwood Towers. The smallest unit is a junior one bedroom with 579 square feet of living space. The deluxe one-bedroom unit offers 862 square feet. The two-bedroom, two-bath units range in size from 1,158 square feet to 1,182 square feet. The smaller of the three bedroom units has two baths and 1,315 square feet of living space. Finally, the largest floor plan has three bedrooms and three baths at 1,491 square feet.

Currently, seven units are actively listed for sale in MRIS, our local MLS. They range in price from $163,900 for a junior one-bedroom unit to $339,000 for a unit with three bedrooms and two baths. None of the units listed for sale are short sales or foreclosures.

One unit is currently under contract in Idylwood Towers. It’s a two-bed, two-bath short sale with an asking price of $209,900.

In the past year, 19 units have changed ownership in Idylwood Towers. The average sales price was $215,000, and units sat on the market for an average of 71 days before selling. Of the units that sold in the past year, four were foreclosures and two were short sales.
