Falls Church Neighborhoods: Westwood Park

September 13, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Westwood Park is a community of nearly 180 single-family homes. Most of the homes are ramblers, split foyers, or colonials built in the 1960s.

Located near Shreve Road, Westwood Park is convenient to major commuting routes, such as Route 29, the Beltway, and I-66. It’s also about an equal distance from both the Dunn Loring and West Falls Church metro stations.

With a walk score of just 28, Westwood Park is considered “car dependent.” However, more than a dozen restaurants are within a mile of residents’ front doors, including local favorite Haandi. Five grocery stores are also within a mile, as well as three coffee shops for the caffeine junkies.

The neighborhood is popular, and currently no homes are actively listed for sale or under contract in Westwood Park, according to MRIS, our local MLS.

In the past year, just four homes have changed hands in the community. Two of those homes were ramblers and two were split foyers. The homes sat of the market for an average of just 19 days, and had an average sales price of $560,000. None of the homes were a short sale or foreclosure.
