October 18, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Park Towers is a six-story condo building comprising nearly 100 units built in 1963. The units come in floor plans with one, two, or three bedrooms. The community has a swimming pool and community room for residents’ enjoyment, and also has space for bicycle storage.

Located near the intersection of West Broad Street (Route 7) and North Washington Street (Route 29), Park Towers is convenient to major commuting routes, such as I-66 and the Beltway. It’s also about one mile from the East Falls Church metro station, making it a popular destination for commuters.

With a walk score of 94, Park Towers is considered a “walker’s paradise.” More than a dozen restaurants are within a quarter mile of residents’ front doors, including local favorites Dogwood Tavern and Argia’s. The community is also nearby to numerous parks, plus all the dining, shopping, and entertainment that downtown Falls Church has to offer, such as the State Theater, the Farmer’s Market, and the Community Center.

The community is popular, and currently just one home is actively listed for sale in Park Towers, according to MRIS, our local MLS. It is a one-bed, one-bath unit with 764 square feet of living space. It has been on the market for 39 days and has an asking price of $189,950.

No homes are currently under contract in Park Towers.

In the past year, five units have changed hands in Park Towers. Four of those units had two bedrooms and one bath. They sat on the market for an average of 150 days before selling. The average sales price for those units was $233,750. The other home that sold was a one-bed, one-bath unit. It sold for $198,000 and was on the market for 73 days before changing hands. None of the units that sold in past year were short sales or foreclosures.
